Definition

أهم صفة أو الطبيعة الأساسية لشيء ما. يمكن أن تعني أيضاً مستخلصاً سائلاً مركزاً، خاصة نكهة أو رائحة.

Usage Notes (Arabic)

شائع في السياقات الفلسفية أو الرسمية ('the essence of beauty'). يُستخدم أيضاً عن المنكهات المركزة في الطعام ('essence of vanilla'). لا تخلط بينها وبين 'essential' (صفة).
