Definition

書かれたものや情報を消した部分にできる跡、または意図的に削除された部分。

「erasures」は主に書類や答案の修正、編集の際の表現です。消しゴムの跡や削除された箇所に使われ、日常会話ではあまり使いません。比喩的に情報の削除にも使います。

There are several erasures on your answer sheet.
