Definition

二つ以上のものをねじったり巻き付けたりして一つにまとめること。よく腕や枝、糸などについて使われる。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

文学的な表現やフォーマルな文章でよく使われます。「entwined arms」や「stories entwine」などの表現に見られます。「intertwine」とほぼ同じ意味ですが、やや物理的なものに使われやすいです。
