공식적으로 군대나 다른 조직에 들어가다.

주로 군대에 입대할 때 ('enlist in the army'), 조직 가입 시에도 사용. 격식 있는 동사. 'enroll'(학교)이나 'sign up for'(일반 활동)와 다름. 조직명을 반드시 붙여 사용('enlist in the Navy').

He decided to enlist in the army after high school.
