किसी व्यक्ति या वस्तु को खतरे में डालने का काम; कानून में यह दूसरों को खतरे में डालने का अपराध भी हो सकता है।

औपचारिक/तकनीकी शब्द, आमतौर पर कानून, पर्यावरण या सुरक्षा के संदर्भ में मिलता है। कानून ('child endangerment'), वन्यप्राणियों की रक्षा आदि में इस्तेमाल होता है। रोज़मर्रा में नहीं। क्रिया है 'endanger'।
