आग के लगभग बुझ जाने के बाद बचा हुआ चमकता हुआ कोयले या लकड़ी का छोटा टुकड़ा। यह अभी भी गर्म होता है और फिर से आग पकड़ सकता है।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

'Ember' आमतौर पर अलाव, चूल्हा या किसी जलती चीज़ के बचे टुकड़े के लिए इस्तेमाल होता है। आम वाक्यांश: 'glowing embers', 'burning embers'। यह कभी-कभी रूपक रूप में भी प्रयोग होता है, जैसे फिर से शुरू होने वाली भावना के लिए। बड़ी लपटों के लिए नहीं कहते।
