耳栓

Definition

耳に入れて騒音や水が入るのを防ぐ小さな道具。

普通は複数形の『耳栓』と表現されます。『a pair of earplugs』のように組で使われることが多いです。睡眠時、水泳時、騒音対策に使います。ヘッドフォンや補聴器とは異なります。

She wears earplugs at night so she can sleep better.

彼女は夜にぐっすり眠れるように**耳栓**をしています。
