Definition

কোনো কিছু থেকে ধূলি সরানো বা ঝাড়া বোঝায়, এবং কখনও কখনও হালকা করে গুঁড়ো ছিটানো বোঝাতেও ব্যবহার হয়।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

'She dusts the shelves' মানে ধুলো ঝাড়া; 'dusts the cake with sugar'—গুঁড়ো ছিটানো বোঝায়। পানি দিয়ে পরিষ্কারকে 'wipe' বলা হয়, 'dust' শুধু শুষ্ক পরিষ্কারের জন্য।
