Passado de 'dunk': mergulhar rapidamente algo (como comida) em um líquido, ou marcar pontos colocando a bola diretamente no cesto no basquetebol.

Informal e comum para comida ('dunked the biscuit') e desporto ('dunked the ball'). Não se usa para mergulhos longos; use 'ensopado' para esses casos.
