Definition

お城や古い建物の地下にある牢屋や閉じ込め部屋のこと。ファンタジーやゲームの冒険の舞台としても使われます。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に複数形（dungeons）で使われ、ゲームやファンタジーでよく登場します。現代の刑務所には使いません。“Dungeons & Dragons”のようなタイトルで有名です。
