Definition

道路から家や建物につながる短い私道や車道で、車を走らせて駐車できる場所です。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

アメリカ英語特有の表現で、イギリス英語では“drive”も使われます。ガレージとは異なり、家と道路の間にあるスペースを指します。「drivewayで車を停める」などの表現で使います。
