관객과 가장 가까운 무대 앞부분.

주로 연극·공연에서 사용; 'upstage'(무대 뒤쪽)와 반대 의미. 'downstage left/right'처럼 무대의 앞쪽(좌/우)을 말할 때 쓴다.
