두 배의 양이나 두 부분을 의미합니다. 동사로는 무언가를 두 배로 늘리다는 뜻입니다.

'double'은 'double check'(다시 확인), 'double doors'(양쪽으로 열리는 문) 등 다양한 문맥에서 사용됨. 'duplicate'(복사)와는 다름.
