Definition

এটি এমন একটি যন্ত্র যা সাধারণত বাড়ির প্রবেশদ্বারের পাশে থাকে; কেউ চাপলে বাড়ির ভিতরে একটি শব্দ হয়, যাতে বাড়ির লোক বুঝতে পারে কেউ দরজায় এসেছে।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

‘ডোরবেল’ শব্দটি সাধারণ এবং আধুনিক দু'ধরনের ডোরবেলের জন্য একইভাবে ব্যবহৃত হয়। 'ring the doorbell' অর্থ- ডোরবেল বাজানো। ইন্টারকমের সাথে গুলিয়ে ফেলবেন না।
