'Dodge' শব্দের অতীতকাল; দ্রুত নড়ে কিছু এড়ানো বা কোনও প্রশ্ন বা সমস্যার সম্মুখীন হওয়া এড়ানো।

শারীরিক কিছু এড়ানোর পাশাপাশি, প্রশ্ন বা দায়িত্ব এড়াতে 'dodged' ব্যবহার হয়। যেমন 'dodged the question' মানে সরাসরি উত্তর দেয়নি।
