離婚した人は、結婚が法的に終わり、元配偶者とはもう結婚していない状態です。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

通常「be動詞」の後で使います。「get divorced」は離婚する過程、「be divorced」は離婚した状態を表します。「separated（別居）」とは異なります。
