Definition
拡張とは、何かが広がったり大きくなったりする現象や操作です。医療では器官や開口部の広がり、数学では図形の形を変えず大きくすることを指します。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
医療では「瞳孔の拡張」「血管の拡張」などで使われます。数学では「図形の拡大＝dilation」は形を変えず大きさだけ変わる操作です。「delineation（輪郭）」や「deletion（削除）」と混同しないよう注意。
