वे संरचनाएँ जो नदियों, समुद्रों या झीलों के पानी को रोकने के लिए बनती हैं और बाढ़ से बचाती हैं। "Dikes" "dike" का बहुवचन है।

अधिकतर इसे जल प्रबंधन, इंजीनियरिंग या भूगोल में इस्तेमाल किया जाता है। "Dike" कभी-कभी समुद्र के किनारे बनाई जाने वाली दीवार को भी दर्शाता है। इसे अन्य अर्थों के साथ न मिलाएँ।
