죽다

Definition

사람이나 동물, 식물 등이 더 이상 살아있지 않게 되는 상태.

일상과 공식 모두에서 자주 쓰임. '병으로 죽다', '어릴 때 죽다', '멸종하다 (die out)' 같은 표현에서 사용됨. '죽이다'는 '죽다'와 구분해야 하며, 이는 죽게 만드는 것을 의미함.

My grandfather died last year.

우리 할아버지는 작년에 **돌아가셨어요**.
