Definition

বর্ণনা হল কোনো ব্যক্তি বা বস্তুর সম্পর্কে বিস্তারিত তথ্য বা দিক তুলে ধরা। এটি দেখতে কেমন, কী বৈশিষ্ট্য বা গুণ রয়েছে, সেগুলো জানাতে সাহায্য করে।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

'description' সাধারণত 'give', 'write', 'fit' শব্দগুলোর সঙ্গে ব্যবহৃত হয়: 'give a description', 'write a description', 'fit the description'। এটি 'comment' বা 'idea' এর তুলনায় বেশি নির্দিষ্ট এবং আনুষ্ঠানিক। 'definition' এর সঙ্গে গুলিয়ে ফেলবেন না—বর্ণনা মানে বিস্তারিত বলা, সংজ্ঞা মানে অর্থ ব্যাখ্যা করা।
