"Dept" kelimesi, bir kurum, şirket veya üniversite içindeki bir birimi ifade eden "bölüm" sözcüğünün kısaltmasıdır.

"Dept" genellikle yazıda, belgelerde veya adreslerde kullanılır. Konuşmada tam "bölüm" denir; resmi metinlerde kısaltma kullanılmaz.
