رفض شيء بأدب، أو التناقص في الكمية أو الأهمية أو الجودة أو القوة.

Usage Notes (Arabic)

غالباً ما تستخدم رسمياً أو بشكل محايد؛ تُستخدم 'decline' لرفض الدعوات بأدب ('decline an invitation') أو للتعبير عن انخفاض ('decline in sales'). لا تخلطها مع 'deny' (ينكر) الذي يعني الرفض التام.
