Definition

「ダッシュ」は、文章で使う長い横線（―）や、車のフロントガラス下にある計器や操作パネル（ダッシュボード）を指します。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

記号のダッシュはハイフン（-）と区別します。車用の場合は「ダッシュボード」と言い、単独で「ダッシュ」とはあまり言いません。「make a dash for it」は「急いで駆ける」という意味。
