何かの周りを実際に踊る場合や、問題や質問に直接答えずにはぐらかす場合に使う表現です。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

日常会話で「dance around」や「dance around a question」は遠回しに言う、はっきりしない時によく使う。直接「無視する」ほど強くはないニュアンス。
