壇（だん）は、部屋や空間の前方に設けられた、話したり表彰されたりする人が立つための高い場所です。

「壇」は主に式典やスピーチなどフォーマルな場で使われます。「stand on the dais」や「address from the dais」のような形でよく用います。一般的な「ステージ」とは違い、規模が小さく、公式な意味合いが強いです。
