Definition

কোনো কিছুকে ছোট ছোট অংশে ভাগ করতে ছুরি বা অনুরূপ কিছু ব্যবহার করা; আবার, কেউ কথা বলার সময় হঠাৎ থামিয়ে কথা বলা বোঝায়।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

'cut into pieces' বা 'cut into slices' বলতে খাবার ছোট ছোট অংশে কাটা বোঝায়। কারও কথা চলাকালে 'cut into the conversation' বলতে হঠাৎ কথা বলা বোঝায়। শুধু 'cut' বললে কেবল কাটা বোঝায়, কথা থামানো নয়।
