つなぎ

Definition

頭、手、足以外の全身を覆う一体型の作業着で、普段着の上から着て服を汚れや傷から守るために使われます。

「つなぎ」は作業現場でよく使われ、「オーバーオール」（肩紐付きズボン）とは異なります。ペンキ塗り、自動車修理、建設などの仕事で着用されます。

The mechanic put on his coveralls before working on the car.
