プロジェクトや組織、出版物などにお金・時間・アイデア・労力を提供する人です。出版物においては記事を書く人を指すこともあります。

主にフォーマルな場で使われます。「major contributor」「regular contributor」「guest contributor」などの表現がよくあります。「contribution」（提供された物）や「donor」（特に金品提供者）と混同しないようにしましょう。
