রাত্রির আকাশে ছড়িয়ে থাকা নক্ষত্রসমূহের সেই সব দল, যা বিশেষ ধরণের আকৃতি বা চেহারা গঠন করে এবং সাধারণত পৌরাণিক প্রাণী, ব্যক্তি বা বস্তু দিয়ে নামকরণ করা হয়।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

বিজ্ঞান, শিক্ষা বা সাহিত্যিক প্রসঙ্গে এই শব্দটি বেশি ব্যবহৃত হয়। 'constellations' বলতে বড় বড় নক্ষত্রগুচ্ছকেই বোঝায়, গ্যালাক্সি নয়। 'recognize constellations' মানে নক্ষত্রমণ্ডল চেনা।
