권한 있는 사람이 규칙 위반이나 금지된 물건 등을 강제로 빼앗거나 가져가는 것. 주로 경찰, 교사, 정부기관 등이 사용.

공식, 법적, 학교와 같은 상황에서 많이 쓰입니다. 'confiscating phones'는 휴대폰을 압수하는 것. 권위자에 의해 강제로 빼앗는 의미가 있음.
