Definition

여러 부분이나 구성원이 모여 전체를 이룬다는 뜻이다. 즉, '이루어져 있다'라는 의미.

주로 공식적, 문어체에서 사용됨. 매우 격식 있는 글에서는 'comprised of' 대신 'consists of'나 'composed of'를 쓰는 것이 좋다.

The team is comprised of five members.

팀은 다섯 명의 멤버로 **구성되어 있다**.
