'communicate to' आमतौर पर औपचारिक संदर्भों (कार्यालय, शिक्षा) में प्रयोग होता है। इसके बाद प्राप्तकर्ता का उल्लेख होता है (जैसे 'communicate to टीम')। 'tell' से अधिक औपचारिक है और लिखित/मौखिक/गैर-मौखिक संचार के लिए इस्तेमाल होता है।
