“Cleaving” 通常指用力劈開或分開某物，比如用刀。有時在古老或文學中也可指緊緊依附某人或某物。
Usage Notes (Chinese (Traditional))
現代主要指用力劈開，如“cleaving wood”。黏附的意思則多見於文學或聖經，如“cleaving to someone”。現在幾乎不用第二個意思。
