很多人居住和工作的較大城鎮，有很多建築、服務和活動。

通常指人口較多的城市地區。與 'town' 相比，'city' 規模更大、更都市化。常見用語：'big city'（大城市）、'city center'（市中心）、'city life'（城市生活）。有時也指市政府。
