Forma curta de "cinema", geralmente usada para designar o local onde se vêem filmes ou o próprio filme.

Em Portugal, usa-se "cinema" e raramente "cine" sozinho. "Cine" aparece mais em nomes de salas de cinema, como "Cine-Teatro". Não se diz "vamos ao cine".
