某物體上的狹窄裂縫或縫隙，通常出現在牆壁、門或類似表面。"chinks" 在英語中也有非常冒犯性的貶義用法，但其中性含義是指物理上的小縫隙。

用於形容物品上小裂縫時，'chinks' 屬於中性詞，但同時也是嚴重冒犯的種族歧視詞，絕不可用於指人。常見搭配：'chinks of light'（一道光）。日常生活中很少用，可用 'cracks' 或 'gaps' 代替。
