무엇인가를 꼼꼼하고 철저히 확인하거나 살펴보는 것. 대개 실수, 누락, 정확성을 확인하기 위해 사용함.

주로 비격식적이며, 'documents', 'bags', 'lists' 등과 함께 자주 사용됨. 'check'(빠르게 보다)나 'check out'(간단히 살피다/방문하다)와 구별됨. 공식적인 글에서는 드물게 사용.
