自己中心的に、または質が落ちることを承知でお金を使いたがらないこと。しばしば最も安い選択肢を選ぶことを指す。

やや批判的な口語表現。品質や気前の良さを犠牲にして節約する場合に使う。「don't cheap out on...」がよく使われる。
