キリスト教の礼拝や祈りのために使われる、小さな建物や部屋。多くは教会、学校、病院などの施設に付属しています。

宗教や歴史的な文脈でよく使われ、「church」よりも小さい施設を指します。'wedding chapels'や'hospital chapels'という表現もよく見られます。
