Pequeños pedazos de papel que se desprenden al perforar una hoja o al marcar boletas perforando agujeros.

Se usa comúnmente en contextos técnicos o elecciones, especialmente con boletas perforadas ('hanging chads'). No confundir con el nombre propio 'Chad'. Generalmente es incontable, pero 'chads' es el plural.
