Definition

用手接住某個移動的東西，收到某物，或意外發現某事。也可指染上疾病或理解某事。

“Catch”用途很廣：可以指接住（catch a ball）、趕上（catch a bus）、生病（catch a cold）或理解（Did you catch that?）。這些情境不能用“take”替換。

Can you catch this ball?

你能**接住**這個球嗎？

I need to catch the bus at 8 o'clock.

我需要在八點**趕上**公車。

Did you catch what the teacher said?

你**聽懂**老師說的話了嗎？

I didn't catch your name, could you repeat it?
