"catch out" in Spanish
Definition
Exponer el error o secreto de alguien, normalmente sorprendiéndolo o demostrando que está equivocado o mintiendo.
Usage Notes (Spanish)
Principalmente británico e informal. Se usa mucho para descubrir mentiras, trampas o errores. Es común verlo en voz pasiva ('was caught out'). No confundir con 'catch up' (ponerse al día) ni 'catch on' (entender).
