誰かに何かを頼んだり、質問に答えさせたりすること。また、正式に誰かを訪問する意味もある。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「call on」は学校で生徒を指す時や、助けを要請する時によく使われる。「call out」とは違い、批判の意味はない。訪問の場合は、ややフォーマルな表現。
