要求某人做某事，尤其是请他们回答问题或提供帮助。也可以指正式拜访某人。

常在课堂上用（“call on a student”指让学生回答问题），也用于请求支持时（“call on your support”）。还可指正式拜访别人。别和“call out”（公开批评）混淆。
