Se usa para describir algo que se mide, paga, alquila o hace por cada semana, generalmente como unidad de tiempo para pago o servicio.

Se usa frecuentemente con trabajos, alquileres o servicios ("pagado por semana", "alquilado por semana"). Es un poco más formal que 'por semana'. No se usa para cosas medidas a diario o mensualmente.
