"Busboy" शब्द ज्यादातर अमेरिकी अंग्रेजी में आता है। इसका बस से कोई लेना-देना नहीं है। अब 'busser' या 'restaurant assistant' जैसे जेंडर-न्यूट्रल शब्द प्रमुख हैं। यह शुरुआती स्तर की नौकरी है।
