침입하다 (절도 목적으로)

Definition

누군가가 도둑질을 목적으로 건물에 불법 침입하는 것.

주로 건물에 한정해 쓰고, 사람에게는 사용하지 않습니다. 격식 있는 말이며 일상에서는 '도둑이 들다', '털다' 같은 표현을 더 자주 씁니다.

Someone tried to burglarize our house last night.

어젯밤 누군가 우리 집에 **침입하려고 했어요**.

The store was burglarized over the weekend.

그 가게는 주말에 **털렸어요**.

Police say the offices were burglarized last month.
