Definition
ブラウンアウトとは、一時的に電力の供給が弱くなり、電気機器や照明が通常より暗くなる現象です。完全な停電（ブラックアウト）よりも軽度の状況を指します。

「ブラウンアウト」は工学や日常会話で使われ、特に電力不足の際によく聞きます。完全な停電には「ブラックアウト」を使います。夏場や需要が高い時期によく起こります。
