まったく水分がなく、非常に乾いている状態。水や湿気が全くない様子を表す時によく使う言葉。

日常会話でよく使う表現。天候や肌、川、服などで「完全に乾いている」と強調したいときに用いる。直訳ではなく誇張したニュアンス。
