大声で威張ったり攻撃的に話す、人の態度や、強くてうるさい風を表す言葉です。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
人に使う場合は虚勢や強がりを指し、本当に強いとは限りません。「荒々しい風」のように天気にもよく使われ、日常会話では人に対してはあまり使われません。
